Some Tips On Door Care!

Here are a few tips on door care from Mister Micawbers Cottage Doors located in Crewe. 

  • 24 to 48 hours before hanging the door, unpack and store them flat in a room

  • When applying finish to the doors, this should always be applied to all surfaces

  • Do not expose the doors to extreme climatic conditions (a room which is too hot / too cold)

  • Use flush hinges for hanging cupboard doors

  • Be aware that there will be slight shrinkage to the width of the door, anywhere one to one and a half millimeters due to surrounding humidity levels
